DaVinci Code Controversy

May 19, 2006

Everyone's talking about it and it's all over the news. As the filter for what's next we thought we would throw out our suggestion for dealing with the DaVinci hoopla. As we would in any situation we would encourage you to be well informed and educated on the subject. The reality that is essential in this conversation is that The DaVinci Code is a fictional book. The statements in this dramatic read are not Truth. With that said, being Engaged in Culture is an essential element to a Catalyst Leader, so we recommend reading the book, watching the movie, doing both and have conversations and dialogue with the people you lead about what is Truth and what are fictional statements. It's going to be a great conversation piece over the next few weeks so it's probably smart to do your research and know the facts. This conversation is a great opportunity for Christians to engage with culture and open the dialogue again. Let us know how you and your church are responding.
