  1. My problem with the younger adults in my church is that they’re busy. Between working full time jobs, they do their kids sports teams (year around), hunt, fish, travel, etc., and have little time left to lead at church. I’d love to have some younger leaders if I could get them.

  2. Thanks for the article. I am a college professor. Many students are drawn to parachurch organizations rather than the church because they know they will not get to exert influence in the church. Their path to influence is the “do their time” as a youth pastor and prove themselves that way. Eventually they are promoted.

    I try to encourage younger leaders that if they were leaders in their high schools, they can be leaders in the church but it may take awhile before that ability is recognized.
