"Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires." - James 1:19-20
There is righteous indignation, however, most human anger comes from irritation, frustration, impatience, judgements, entitlement, selfishness, etc. The trouble with this anger and the ensuing conflict is that it divides us, it brings about bitterness and resentment, and ineffectiveness.
Therefore, let's pray:
- For grace for one another, and patience to bear with one another
- For good communication to put-out fires before they start
- For open eyes to see our brothers & sisters, where they are coming from.
The enemy desires to divide us and make us ineffective. Let us resist the devil and purposefully strive to live at peace with one another, as we lay down our lives for the advancement of His Kingdom!
