Five Years Later
September 10, 2006
Barna Research studies reveal despite an intense surge in religious activity and expression in the weeks immediately following 9/11, the faith of Americans is virtually indistinguishable today, 5 years later, compared to pre-attack conditions. (Barna Update 8/28/06) I think it's a matter of religion vs. the Christian life...following Christ comes with a price and some just aren't willing to pay that price, but rather attend a few religious ceremonies each year thinking that ought to be enough. Kind of like when you go to a wedding and it reminds you how a marriage union ought to be, stirs up lots of emotions and feelings. But what do you do with those feelings, do you make any lasting changes? Do you recommit yourself to your spouse?
