  1. Several years ago my wife went to a conference that discussed the way technology has impacted our relationships.

Once upon a time we had a chance to get to know a bank teller, now at best we drive through, or just e-bank!  The speaker said we were living in a High Tech, low touch world. All of our mediums of communication are moving to cold mediums!

A good church recognizes the value of technology, but also recognizes its limitations. Technology can distance us from true relationships. It can disconnect us from real intimacy.

On the other hand many Churches are out of touch with the times, they may be High touch, but they are low tech, and they are missing the boat. The new generations are so interconnected with their technology that low tech churches have reall trouble communicating to them.

What we need is High tech and High touch churches. Churches that use technology to engage people and to connect people. Churches that recognize the real advantages of technology as well as its drawbacks.
