If You Weren’t On Staff At Your Church, Would You Worship There?

March 26, 2007

Several days ago on the Swerve Blog, Craig Groeschel asked three questions that we want to pose to you. 1. If you weren't on staff at your church, would you worship there? 2. If you didn't know ANYTHING about Jesus, what would you know about him after a normal weekend at your church? 3. If you had a loved one who didn't know Christ, and they had one week left to live, would you take them to your church or another? Check out the entire blog here.

  1. Yes, yes, and yes!  I actually had the privilege of being a member of my church before coming on staff. I had left one ministry position and was working another job and attending my current church and one thing led to another and I ended up on staff.

  2. No, no and no! I unfortunately dislike my church for a place for personal fellowship and growth. I believe that the ministry of my church is self centered and repels more than attracts non-believers. It seems that I spend fifty percent of my energy swimming upstream trying to accomplish the ministry that I am in. Unfortunate but true. I have tried everything and unfortunately it seems that for now all I can do is shelter those whom I have been charged care of and try to build them up in the lord so they can become great men and women of Christ.
