Sunday was great – at least sorta. The new person you met yesterday might attend next weekend – maybe. But there is still one lingering question in the back of your head.

Leadership conversations these days are laced with a common thread: we are rethinking the "vision" word we use so often in ministry.  Like a burr under a saddle, something is irritating the collective soul of church leadership. What is it?

More often than not – in fact, so often that I have lost count – the question of “what can I do?” comes with a very specific disclaimer.  It comes wrapped in a particularly caveated package. Time and again comes this version of the “what can I do” question.

Catalyst recently sat down with RELEVANT Magazine President Cameron Strang. Cameron is a young visionary who is basically taking over the Christian 18-34 demographic. Though he’s a conscientious businessman, his passion is to have eternal, spiritual impact on the 18-34 crowd both inside and outside of the Church.

No matter what the dangers or downsides of dreaming, it is more devastating to the human spirit to give up on our dreams altogether - the bigger people dream, the bigger they tend to live.

The rise of the missional church is the most significant development in the church since the Reformation. What are you or will you need to change in your life and ministry to be missionally engaged?

Through a very difficult time in my life, I broke the discipleship code, or perhaps I should say the code broke me. I had become overly religious – in all my busyness I had allowed Jesus to, ever so gradually and gently, be pushed to the edges of my life.

How can we love our neighbors as ourselves - as Jesus inconveniently tells us to do - if we’re not even willing to talk with them, to attempt to understand who they are as fellow children of God?
