The important insight based on our research is that Mosaics and Busters rarely see Christians who embody service, compassion, humility, forgiveness, patience, kindness, peace, joy, goodness, and love.

I'm going to let you in on a secret. From this point on, to the end ofthe book, I'm winging it. That's right. I'm making it up as I go. Ididn't have time to think through anything except the first few pages -thank you for reading this far - and the publishers needed the book right away.

The word culture is huge and vague at the same time, and it's easy tomisuse. People use culture to refer to a nebulous set of beliefs andvalues that surround us like the atmosphere, omnipresent and invisible.It's like the water fishes swim in: all around them, but taken for granted.

I've spent hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars trying to disguise my butt, trying to make it look a lot more like someone else's butt, or at least camouflage it well enough to fade into the surrounding foliage or cityscape.

God is still in the business of redemption, and He invites us to join Him. He asks us to whisper truth to the face of death, to lay down our lives that others might find something alive. Something true. Pain is real. But hope is also real.

Isn't it funny how most people work their tail ends off for years only to be labeled an "overnight success"? Our team is experiencing growth like never before! But this isn't how it's always been. We've put in the time, the money, the heartache, the sweat, and then, everything took off. But it sure didn't occur overnight.

Your organization depends on great decisions, stellar implementation, and complete "buy-in." Without those three things, you aren't positioned to get the results you're working so hard to accomplish. Nor are you building a cohesive leadership team. Healthy conflict is the precursor to those three things.
